Little Fib Restaurant Opens at Renaissance Nashville Hotel

Southern-inspired restaurant joins Nashville’s culinary scene

Nashville, Tennessee , Nov. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Renaissance Nashville Hotel unveils its new downtown Nashville restaurant, Little Fib, newly opened on the first floor of the hotel. The restaurant offers southern-inspired food and hand-crafted cocktails near Bridgestone Arena, Ryman and downtown. The name Little Fib is taken from a quote describing the progression of country music: “From ‘three chords and the truth,’ it moves to ‘five chords and a little fib, to ‘eight chords and an outright lie.’”

Boasting an American retro theme, the Little Fib menu offers a creative take on Southern cuisine. The Nashville restaurant’s full bar includes 12 draft handles, a premium cocktail menu and specialty drinks and features a 26-seat bar in the center of the restaurant. Two private dining tables, booths and side tables offer seating for up to 185 people.

“We expect Little Fib to become a popular spot for business lunches and a dinner destination prior to shows at the Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena and other downtown venues,” said Executive Chef James Kerwin. “Nashville has such a vibrant food scene, and it is an honor to be a part of it. We can’t wait to share Little Fib with everyone.”

Sure to be one of the most talked-about restaurants near Bridgestone Arena, Little Fib’s culinary team is second to none. Chef James Kerwin comes to Nashville from Detroit, bringing with him a decade of experience in some of Chicago’s top kitchens. He has received local and international recognition and has been an innovator for Renaissance hotels, opening RAISED, an urban rooftop. He also worked at Bonsoiree, where he earned a Michelin star.

Most recently, Chef Kerwin opened the Showroom Food Hall and Woven & Bound restaurants at the Chicago Marriott Marquis. Now at the helm of Little Fib, the Executive Chef plans to inspire guests to feel the nostalgia of classic comfort cooking mixed with bold, modern flavors.
