Trump picks retired Gen James 'Mad Dog' Mattis to lead Pentagon

General Mattis might be a great choice - but because Trump describes him as "the closest thing we have to General George Patton" I worry. Patton was a loose cannon and Eisenhower was constantly reining him in. Trump is not Ike and might give Mattis too much free rein or be too easily influenced by his militaristic beliefs. This is a nation run by civilians, not generals.

Trump is still missing the, "Has to be approved by Congress legislature" again. All them pesky laws.
