A tornado watch has been issued for western parts of Arkansas until 10 pm. Additional counties in central and eastern Arkansas will be added later Wednesday night.

After a stormy morning for some, an additional chance for severe weather returns tonight. Much of the state is under a medium, level 3/5 risk, however, a level 4/5 risk is located just north of the state.

SPC Risk: Wednesday

Timing for these storms shows storms moving in western Arkansas around 7 PM. These storms will continue to move eastward through the evening. The majority of the storms are expected to move out of the state by around 1 AM.

Forecast Track

All modes of severe weather look to be possible, with damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes. However, hail looks to be one of the greater risks, with some storms potentially dropping baseball-sized hail stones. Damaging wind gusts could range from 60-80 mph.
